Ivelisse Jiménez lives and works in San Juan, Puerto Rico and New
York. She received her MFA from New York University in 1999 and B.A. in
Humanities from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus..

Arte Contemporáneo SJ, PR, Project Rooms at Arco Madrid, Spain, Praga
Bienalle, X Cuenca Bienalle, also Italy, Brussels, Germany, Costa Rica,
Mexico and Cuba.
Recent solo exhibitions at Museo
Art Fairs include Miami Basel, Artissima, Turin, Art Brussels,
Bruselas, Art Chicago, Scope NYC, Pulse NYC/ Miami, Maco Mexico among
others.
Is part of collections in PR, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Italy , USA.
Some awards include a public art commission for the government of
Puerto Rico, at Barranquitas PR public library, The Joan Mitchell Award
for painters and sculptors, Art Omi international residency.

Premium, Artes, Art Nexxus. Currently works at Escuela de Artes
Plásticas de Puerto Rico as Head of Painting Department and as adjunct
faculty at University of Puerto Rico.
Developing from abstract concepts, Ivelisse Jiménez creates works were simultaneity, contraction and uncertainty are inherent characteristics. Her constructions are made from diverse as well as ephemeral materials that are adapted and utilize the installation space.
